2022 Meeting of the Bertrand Russell Society

49th Annual Meeting

The Bertrand Russell Society

McMaster University, June 3–5, 2022

The call for papers is here. For those interested in presenting a paper at the conference, please complete the 2022 Submissions form, including an abstract. The deadline is April 2nd. There will be a mixture of in-person and online presentations (using Zoom). Please note that you must be a member of the Bertrand Russell Society to present at the annual meeting. This applies to online and in-person speakers. You may join (or renew membership in) the BRS, and see the many benefits of membership, at this link.

A conference devoted to Russell’s Analysis of Mind, hosted by the Department of Philosophy at McMaster, will take place from 6–7 June, immediately after the BRS Annual Meeting. Registration for the Analysis of Mind conference is free and open to all.

Accommodation

Members can book their accommodation directly with Hotel McMaster. Single rooms with ensuite bathrooms are $84 per night (+13% HST); double rooms, also with ensuite bathrooms, are $134 (+ 13% HST). Details of the rooms and their amenities can be viewed here. For previous BRS meetings at McMaster BRS speakers and visitors have typically reserved a room in Les Prince Hall. All conference events will be on campus, so on-campus accommodations come with easy (walkable) access to the venues.

Visitors Inn is a recommended off-campus option and within (a fair) walking distance. Alternative hotel accommodation, closer to the Hamilton downtown and further away from the university, are the Homewood Hilton, the Staybridge Suites and (right downtown) the Sheraton.
