James Chartrand, Project Manager for the Collected Letters has completed the software programme that will be used to digitize Russell's letters, although there are still a number of modifications to be made and bugs to be worked out (see his article "Digitizing the Letters" in the current issue of the BRRC Newsletter—copies available on request). Although James is leaving the BRRC, he will remain on campus, having successfully bid for a programming contract for TAPoR (Text-Analysis Portal), which is based at McMaster University under the direction of Dr. Geoffrey Rockwell. TAPoR is funded by the Canadian Foundation for Innovation and in addition to McMaster involves five other Canadian universities. It is hoped that James will be able to act as a consultant to the BRRC in the coming months.
